Home Typist is a free, simple and fun program that will run in the background and will play nice sounds very similar to the sounds of old typewriters. This simple program will allow you to get entertained a little while you are typing on your keyboard.

After the program is installed, a small icon will appear in the system tray and the fun will start. Every time you press a key of your keyboard, you will listen to sounds similar to those of the old typewriters. There are at least five different types of sounds depending on the keys you are pressing. For example, letters have one kind of sound, while numbers have another, and special keys like Ctrl or Intro have different sounds as well. This means that while you type, different sounds will give you fun & relaxing moments as you work.

Furthermore, from the system tray icon you will be able to mute the sounds by right clicking on the context menu. Besides, in the same menu, the startup option can be adjusted if you want the program to be started with Windows.

Pros

  • It plays many different sounds for all keys

Cons

  • It would be better if you could enable/disable sounds by pressing a hot-key combination
  • It may become boring after a while

I didn't see any meaning of it. More
It's malware. Beware, twice I downloaded it in Windows 8 and both the times it has crashed my system. More
